The Internship is run by the Camps and Missions Department of Scripture Union ROI.
It lasts for 8 weeks (basically July and August)
And the purpose of the program is to provide a young team of Christians with practical experience and training in youth camps work, identifying, developing and encouraging their individual gifts and abilities for the service of the Lord, incorporating discipleship, fellowship and personal study.
This year the interns will get to work on many different residential and non residential projects around the country including Urban Soul (see www.urbansoul.eu), Camps at Ovoca Manor, CSSM Greystones and SU Border Counties holidays clubs.
They each have a mentor, and bible readign and journaling time daily as well as training in working with children and young people and opportunities to develop their gifts.
